Apartment Hotel Shinjuku

South Area

A 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station's South Exit, Apartment Hotel Shinjuku is hidden away from the urban noise. Formerly a ryokan (traditional inn), it was rebuilt in the early 1970s to function as a hotel and then underwent a renovation process that started in 2010. While the red kawara (clay tile) roof was retained, as it is a feature characteristic of buildings from that time, the interior has been completely redesigned. Each guest room has been individually designed, and further developments inspired by unique ideas are often implemented. The diverse clientele includes those in town for art exhibits, live shows and other events, as well as creators who work on such events, artists and authors.
