Miyazaki is a prefecture in Kyushu, Japan’s southern island. This prefecture is known for its fresh fruits, beef, and tropical climate.

If you can’t make it to Miyazaki during your trip to Japan, then check out Shinjuku’s Hinata Terrace Event to get a taste of the southern island life! The Hinata Terrace Event is taking place from February 22nd until March 21st at Shinjuku Southern Terrace. During this time, eight of the restaurants in the area will be offering food and drinks made with ingredients from Miyazaki. Try drinks and desserts made with Hyuganatsu oranges and main dishes featuring Miyazaki beef, pork, and chicken.

The festival culminates on Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st, with a market and food trucks being set up on-site. There will also be live performances from JILLE, Alchemist, and MINAMI NiNE, major musical artists from Miyazaki. Be sure not to miss the stamp rally, where if you can collect stamps from locations on the event grounds. If you collect three of the four, you will receive a fantastic prize (while supplies last.)
