See Items Made With Traditional Japanese Silk at This Exhibit!
Thu, June 20, 2019 - Tue, July 02, 2019
Magnetic Pole is a workshop in Chichibu, Saitama where fabric is handmade from the thread through integrated production. Currently, only 0.3% of silk products from Japan use domestic silk. At the Chichibu factory, young craftspeople are continuing the tradition of using 100% locally made silk, and they strive to keep the tradition alive. During this exhibition, household items that are made with their original washable silk will be on display.
