Enjoy Bon Odori Dancing from All Over Japan

Wed, November 06, 2019 - Wed, November 27, 2019

Have fun

At the Bon Odori Izakaya Bar, you have the chance to take part in Japan’s traditional Bon Odori dancing, a dance with a series of moves that anyone can remember. After getting the dance down, try and participate for yourself!

As Tokyo is the spot in Japan with the highest number of tourists, this event will take place at a bar in Shinjuku with the hope that people from all over the world will participate. There are three major Bon Odori dances in Japan – Akita Prefecture’s Nishimonai Bon Odori, Gifu Prefecture’s Gujo Odori, and Tokushima Prefecture’s Awa Odori. Enjoy these dances while eating and drinking, and wear a yukata while participating in order to have as much fun as possible at this entertaining izakaya bar!

- On November 6th, the professional Awa Odori entertainment troupe Takarabune will perform.
- On November 20th, the group Tokyo Ushibuka Haiya-kai will perform, and Ushibuka Haiya-bushi dance will be the main focus.
- On November 27th, the group Warakuren will perform and Awa Odori will be the focus.
