If you’re in Japan, of course you want to try authentic Japanese sake! There are tons of places where you can try sake, so you may not know where to start. In this article, we are going to introduce you to a bar where you can try 50 different famous sake from all over Japan for their “actual cost”.
Sake Restaurant is a place where you can try drinks for a half or even a third of the usual bar price. You can enjoy famous and popular sake here! The Japanese name of Sake Restaurant is “Nihonshu Genka Sakagura” (Actual Cost Japanese Sake Brewery). The “actual cost” is the price of the drinks without the restaurant inflating the cost. Note that there is an entrance fee, so we recommend coming when you’re in the mood to drink!
The menu focuses on Japanese food, including many dishes that pair well with sake. Both the drinks and food are reasonably priced.
Genka Bar is popular with locals and visitors from overseas alike. If you’re in Japan, stop by Genka Bar to try some delicious sake!
*The entrance fee is 490 yen/person. The bar is entirely non-smoking. There is an English menu, free Wi-Fi and plugs for charging electronics. Credit cards are accepted.
