Locker Size Comparison Chart

Spot #1 - West Exit Underground Plaza

Once you're out of the West Exit ticket gates, don't go up the stairs or use the elevator – keep going underground until you reach the Shinjuku West Exit Plaza to find a locker for your belongings. There are small, medium, and large lockers available. This area is a popular place for people to store their belonging because of the number of lockers available. Even during peak hours, there's a chance that one may be free. Even if you have bad luck and none of the lockers are free, this is still the first place to check due to the sheer number.

Spot #2 - Shinjuku Station West Exit Mid-Second Floor Concourse

These lockers are on a level between the first and second floors. Since these lockers are not in plain sight, there are usually empty. There are small, medium, and large lockers available, with plenty of small ones perfect for storing your purse or shopping bags.

To find this location, exit from the Odakyu Line Above Ground West Exit and go straight. When you see stairs, head down the left side. Once you’ve gone down, you will see the lockers on the right.

You may notice that there are not many large lockers at this location. Follow the map below to head to an area with many large lockers.

Although it’s a bit far, there are 304 lockers available!
