Enjoy the Winter Lights at Shinjuku Terrace City’s Illumination Event!

The winter season in Japan is synonymous with “illumination” events featuring elaborate displays of winter lights. Most major cities in Tokyo have their own special illumination event, and Shinjuku is no exception. There is an illumination event every year in Shinjuku Terrace City, a collection of shopping complexes that span from the West Exit of Shinjuku Station to the South Exit.

The theme of this year’s Shinjuku Terrace City illumination event is “Fairy of Flowers”, and there are nine spots in the area decorated with flower-themed winter lights. While some of these spots feature traditional winter light displays, some are “photo spots” where you can pose and take photos with fairy wings or flowers in the background. Have fun coming up with a fairy-like pose with your friends!

The event runs until February 14th, so you have time to go with your significant other during Valentine’s Day too! Experience Shinjuku during the winter season at Shinjuku Terrace City!
