Eat Cup Noodles Smoothly with This Special Fork!

Usually, when you eat instant cup noodles, you use a fork or chopsticks. However, have you ever thought that there must be a better way to eat them?

Right now, an item called “Cup Noodle the Fork” has become the topic of conversation in Japan. This item is from Nissin Food Products, which in 1971 created the world’s first instant cup noodle brand, Cup Noodle. This design encapsulates “needless details”, and with advertising like that, the Shinjuku Guide team had to check it out!

The first benefit of this fork was readily apparent when we were waiting for the noodles. Usually, you have to find something to hold the lid shut, such as a fork or book. Even though Nissin Cup Noodles come with a piece of tape on the bottom of the cellophane wrapper that is used to hold the lid shut, the specialty fork can be used to hold the lid closed! This fork can even be used with brands that don’t come with the tape. Just hook it on the lip of the cup and it will get the job done.

After waiting for three minutes, it’s now time to open it up and start eating! There are certainly a lot of details with this fork. For instance, the fork is shaped so that it can run along the line imprinted inside the cup that is used as a measure for the amount of boiling water you should add.

The bumps on the fork create trenches, that way the noodles and the soup can mix together more easily. The fork is at a 128-degree angle, a design chosen through research that makes it easy for the noodles and toppings to both be brought to your mouth more easily.

If you only want to eat the toppings, then this fork allows to easily do just that. The spacing of the prongs on the fork and their shape allows you to smoothly eat the toppings.

When we tried it out, we felt that it was easier to use this fork instead of chopsticks. We’ve also never had this much fun eating cup noodles! This fork was indeed specially created just for eating cup noodles. If you’re right-handed or left-handed, you can still eat these noodles with ease. It also comes with a case so you can take it with you on the go! Even if it does have needless details, it’s also something that can make your life a little easier.

Unfortunately, Cup Noodle the Fork was only on sale for a limited time and is currently sold out. Japan is always coming up with interesting ideas, so keep an eye out for the next original product created!
